Baby Watch Credential Process

Redesigned Comprehensive Systems of Personnel Development (CSPD)

Welcome to the Baby Watch Early Intervention Program (BWEIP) Credential Process. The Baby Watch Early Intervention Credential process has three phases and is intended to be completed within the first 6 months of hire. Upon hire, each new practitioner will be assigned an Early Intervention Coach. The coach will help the new practitioner move through the Early Intervention Credential process, which includes orientation coursework and trainings, a self-assessment of competence, to inform an individualized credentialing plan, as well as observations and demonstrations of the early intervention process. The new practitioner will access all of the coursework, resources, and other training materials for the BWEIP credential on the Canvas learning management system. To obtain a Canvas account please contact Carma Mordecai at 801-273-2891 or cmordecai@utah.gov or Lisa Davenport at 801-273-2899 or lisadavenport@utah.gov. As early intervention practitioners and coaches begin and move through the credential process, the BWEIP team is available to answer questions to help make this process positive and successful.
